CNC World is CNC's 24-hour global English language news channel.

Stationed in over 142 countries and regions, CNC’s correspondents stand ready to offer an alternative perspective and a new vision on global events through breaking news, field reporting and in-depth news analysis.

CNC World is now seeking English Copy Editors, Anchors, Producers, Reporters, Video Editors and Cameramen to join our office at the Beijing headquarters.


For Copy Editor:
Copy Editor is responsible for polishing and proofreading copies of CNC World’s daily programs, feature stories and social media products. She or he must be comfortable working across different types of news-from breaking world news to lifestyles stories.

•Native English speaker 
•B.A degree or higher in relevant field of study or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
•2+ years of relevant experience or familiarity with the broadcasting industry
•Outstanding writing and copy editing skills, great eye for details and creative thinking
•Good news sense of Chinese affairs is a plus
•A mature, enthusiastic and positive attitude and excellent team-work skills

For the position of Anchor:
The Anchor will join our flagship daily news programs, present the occasional special live coverage and other feature programs. He or she will also be responsible for daily voice-over of packages.

•B.A degree or higher
•3+ years relevant experience in studio presenting or field reporting
•A strong presentation style and ability to perform on live coverage
•Ability to present material with authority in a range of situations
•Ability to generate lively discussion on air

For Producer:
The producer will oversee the channel’s short and long term editorial agenda. The successful candidate is expected to coordinate output for our broadcast, online and digital platforms.

•Bachelor’s degree or higher
•5+ years of experience in TV news production
•Experience overseeing all aspects of programming: editorial planning, shooting, editing, graphics, packages
•Experience producing diverse content: live coverage, event programming, features, multi-media projects
•Able to generate new ideas/concepts and execute them

For Reporter:
Reporter works with a cameraman or independently to gather and edit compelling video and audio content. This person will work closely with the producer and editors to achieve CNC’s vision.

•Bachelor’s degree or higher
•3+ years of experience in TV news production, particularly field reporting
•Ability to work independently
•Strong knowledge and understanding of China
•Ability to work effectively under pressure to deadlines and react to breaking news
•Sharp eye for details and ability to tell good China stories to our global audiences

For Video Editor:
Video Editor edits various video content for things such as signage, social media videos and TV news packages. This position requires a strong sense of storytelling, color correction, as well as a strong understanding graphic treatments and audio editing. The video editor will work closely with other editors and producers to excel the broadcasting standards.

•Bachelor’s degree or above
•3+ years of experience in video/graphics editing
•Expert knowledge of windows-based Creative Cloud ( Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop illustrator etc.) or Mac-based equivalent.
•Experience working in Broadcast as well as social media
•Experience with Color correcting as well as color grading
•Good knowledge of Davinci, Maya, 3D MAX is a plus

For Cameraman:
The Cameraman is responsible for the acquisition of news and feature story footage on location using camera, sound, lighting and edit equipment. This person will work closely with reporters and editorial team to deliver live and recorded material from the field.

•Bachelor’s degree or above
•3+ years of relevant experience in related media industry
•Good knowledge of nonlinear edit software and able to deliver rushes on time
•Extensive understanding of operating TV broadcasting cameras, lighting and sound equipment and how to maintain them
•Ability to work and deliver under pressure and physically fit
