Cruise ship drill accident kills 5

Five crew members have died in an emergency drill on a cruise ship in Spain's Canary Islands.

A lifeboat being used on a the safety drill fell 20 meters into the sea when a cable snapped on Sunday.

Those killed include three Indonesians, a Filipino, and a Ghanaian.

Nearly 1,500 people were estimated to be on board the cruise ship when the accident occurred.

It docked at the island's port of Santa Cruz in the morning, and was due to sail to a Portuguese port later in the day.
