Ten years ago, the United States and its allied forces began the invasion of Iraq, and eventually toppled the then Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

Recently, a series of deadly bombing attacks shocked Iraq, causing heavy casualties.

At a regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei expressed China's wishes to the west Asian country.
