Jane Fonda honored at Chinese theater

Legendary actress Jane Fonda was honored with a handprint and a footprint in front of the Chinese Theater this week.

Lifestyles has more.

The 75-year-old Oscar-winning actress left her hand and foot prints enshrined to make it memorized in the Hollywood history for good.

Fonda's family and her friend Jim Carey all came to support her on the ceremony.

"What is particularly meaningful to me is I am gonna be right next to my dad, right over there, and I can feel his presence right now. He used to say to me 'Jane, don't let this town walk all over you,' ha. Well dad, right now the town can walk on both of us forever. Thank you all so much for this honor and for being here, thank you."

Jane Fonda is engraved in the memories of 70s and 80s mainly. She started her acting career in 1954, appearing with her father in a charity performance of "The Country Girl". She rose to fame in the 1960s with films like "Barbarella" and "Cat Ballou".

By winning 2 Academy Award in 1970s, she gradually became a superstar in the acting industry. Besides, she also won an Emmy Award, three Golden Globes, received several other movie awards and nominations.

Fonda is still involved in several productions right now, her new feature "The Butler" will be released this year.

"I thought they were just great. She can act in anything, could do anything from such a young age as well, and she really has taking care of herself and she just looks wonderful."

The on-going TCM classic film festival will screen Jane Fonda's "On Golden Pond" after the ceremony.
