Gotham Independent Film Awards winning movie "An Oversimplification of Her Beauty," premiered on Monday.

Terence Nance, independent film director, took 6 years to finish work, expressing his own beauty concept through this movie.

After a round of screening in over 40 film festival around the world, "An Oversimplification of Her Beauty," is finally presenting in homeland this week.

"I think for me, the screening experience more than any thing that is just gaining confidence. Whatever you make as long as you put everything you have into it, creatively, that A response is the most important thing. I am not say a good response, but an intense response. Good or bad, as long as it intensely felt. I think that is the most important thing."

The movie combines director's personal experiences with fiction, documentary and various animation styles.

"I think I have red some statistical that says 75% of all movies are based on pre-existing material, meaning they are based on television shows, re-make or a comic book or something like that, or sequel. So you know only 25% of the industry is creating new ideas. So in heritly, if this 25, 25 split, then that 25 will start to get lower and lower until nothing is original. And that is natural Capitalism, make something that is exactly the thing were. So hopefully, I think we will start to make more films that are in the 25%, that is original, whatever they are."

"An Oversimplification of Her Beauty" will premiere on May 17 in Los Angeles.
