A fire has ripped through a seniors' residence in eastern Canada, killing at least 10 people.
A further 22 are still missing, presumed dead.
The fire broke out just after midnight Thursday in the small community of L'Isle-Verte of Quebec.
Within about an hour, the wood-frame, three-floor building was completely engulfed in flames.
The site is blanketed with thick ice as temperatures dip to minus 30 degrees Celsius. This hampered rescue efforts.
Authorities on Saturday resumed the search for victims.
Investigators have yet to identify what caused the deadly fire.
