The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has slammed the killing of dozens of civilians in a Syrian village in Hama province.
He's also called for an end to the conflict in the war-torn country.
In a statement released by Ban's spokesman Martin Nesirky on Tuesday, the UN leader condemned in the strongest terms all violence against Syrian civilians.
Ban also called for the perpetrators of the recent massacre, and all other crimes in Syria to be brought to justice.
The Syrian army said an al-Qaida-linked rebel group attacked the Ma'an village in the central province of Hama on Sunday, killing as many as 42 people.
