Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli on Tuesday met Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
They agreed to expand cooperation between two countries to increase reciprocal investment, expand financial cooperation and jointly projects.
Zhang Gaoli and Igor Shuvalov held fruitful talks as they co-chaired the first meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee.
During the talks, Zhang expressed the wish that the two sides should jointly create an even more convenient environment for reciprocal investment.
Shuvalov said Russia is ready to open up more areas of investment to Chinese investors and provide them with more favorable conditions and more convenient financial service.
Shuvalov expressed the readiness to advance bilateral cooperation on investment to a new level.
Zhang said that at present, the China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership has entered a new stage of development. 
He said the launch of the investment cooperation committee is aimed to further implement the important consensus reached by the presidents of the two countries and to prepare for the 19th regular meeting between the head of government of the two sides.
The China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee was launched according to the consensus between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin as they met in Beijing earlier this year.
