Palestine joins ICC after UN bid fails

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has signed 20 treaties to join international organizations, including the International Criminal Court in which it would seek to charge Israel for war crimes.
The move comes a day after the UN Security Council rejected a resolution calling for the end of the Israeli occupation by 2017.

Members of Fatah party and the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization voted on the decision in an emergency meeting on Wednesday.
