Bangladeshi officials confirmed that Sunday's ferry sinking accident in western Manikganj had killed at least 41, including nine children.

But unofficial sources and private television channel NTV said as many as 48 bodies had been recovered so far from the ferry accident.
Rescuers are still searching for the possible missing.
The ferry carrying around 150 people sank after it was hit by a cargo ship in the river Padma. The rest of the passengers swam to safety.
