U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in Nairobi on Friday evening to begin a three-day visit to Kenya.

The visit is the first ever to Kenya by a sitting US president.
U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in the Kenyan capital Nairobi late Friday, making his first visit to the country of his father's birth since his election as president.
Obama was greeted by Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and senior government officials from both the two countries at the airport.
Officials from both Kenya and U.S. said Obama's visit is important in deepening the two countries' bilateral relations.
During this trip, he will address the sixth Global Entrepreneurship Summit and hold bilateral talks with his counterpart Kenyatta on trade, investment, and counter-terrorism.
Obama later will visit the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia.
