Chinese FM in Ebola-hit West Africa- China pledges

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has visited the three West African countries hardest hit by the Ebola outbreak. The virus has killed as many as over 11,200 people in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

The top Chinese diplomat has pledged continued support and vowed to step up cooperation to help the nations with their economy.

On Monday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Guinea, the last leg of his three-nation tour to West Africa. 

He met with Guinea President Alpha Conde and said Beijing would encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in the post-Ebola economy.

Wang also held talks with his Guinea counterpart Francois Fall. He said the two sides will enhance cooperation in infrastructure construction.
