You may have watched or heard about the polo game. But have you known about the tuk-tuk polo? It is a unique sport in Sri Lanka.
During the weekend, the Indian Oscan island country held the international tuk-tuk polo tournament. Lifestyle takes you there.
Unlike normal polo which players have to ride horses, tuk-tuk polo requires players to ride Sri Lanka's three wheelers, which are a famous symbol of the country’s public transport.
The two day international tuk-tuk polo tournament ended on Sunday in the southern Sri Lankan town of Galle.
The annual event has become a major annual tourist attraction in the island nation.
Each team consisted of three players.
The winner team was awarded a cash prize. It was shared between the three wheel owners and the winning team.
Sri Lanka's first tuk tuk polo tournament was played in March 2013. It was set to attract tourists by the Ceylon Polo Club.
The island nation's tourism industry suffered the brunt of a 30 year civil war during the past decades and is now on the road of recovery.
The government aimed to attract at least 3 million tourists by 2016 and 4 million by 2020.
