Tonnes of dead sea-fish found in lake

Next we move to China's southern island province of Hainan.
Over 20 tonnes of dead fish have turned up in a lake in the provincial capital Haikou.
A breath-taking view... Dead fish everywhere in a lake in Haikou of China's southern island province of Hainan!
They were first spotted on Wednesday and sanitation workers scooped up over 20 tonnes of them within five hours. It's estimated that the total number might be about 50 tonnes.
The fish, a kind of sardine, lives in coastal waters and can sometimes be found in bays. Local environmental officials say they got into the freshwater lake accidentally. The tide pushed them into a river, from which water is pumped to replenish the lake.
