Newfoundland flooding clean up

 Newfoundland is still reeling from hurricane Matthew.

Floodwaters wiped out crucial roads. Leaving seventeen communities cut off from the rest of the province.

They remain under a state of emergency as crews work to clear the roads.

More rain fell in one day during the storm than over the entire summer.

The water washed out sewers and septic systems.Flooded basements, submerged cars and eroded roadways and land.

Thousands of people are still without power.
