SpaceX says its rockets may return to flight as early as Sunday.
The news comes following an in-depth investigation into the devastating September explosion of a rocket.
A SpaceX rocket blew up on the launchpad at Cape Canaveral in Florida, destroying a 200 million dollar communications satellite.
Before launch, the federal aviation administration will have to sign off on the crash investigation report and issue SpaceX a new license.
SpaceX originally intended to return to space by November.
Shortly after the investigation began, CEO Elon Musk called the rocket malfunction the most difficult and complex failure of the company's 14 year existence.
