China and France are two countries with long history and splendid civilization.

But differences between the East and the West has hampered good communication and understanding between the two nations.

A French man has spent five years focusing on promoting Sino-French economic and trade exchanges, making him a "civil ambassador" between the two countries.

43-year-old Harold Parisot is passionate about China.

He is keen to build bridges for economic and commercial exchanges between France and China.

Parisot set up Chinese Business Club in Paris in 2012, after five years of development, the club has become an important platform for trade and business exchanges between China and France.

Nearly 100 Chinese and French companies in the fields of agriculture, pharmacy, tourism, aerospace and heavy industry are members of the club.

Parisot said it's interesting to see the differences of Chinese and French businessmen on the negotiating table.

"They are really two different approaches, the Chinese people don't waste time, they go straight to the point, so I think we French businessmen have a lot to learn from the Chinese businessmen."

Parisot says Chinese investment in France is mostly long-term, rather than short-sighted, which is very attractive to the French business world.

"In France today we have an economy that is turning slow, we are lucky to have investors from China who believe in our society, who believe in our know-how, who have money to invest, this is a tremendous opportunity for French companies and French brands who need to develop, to invest and to advance, therefore, there is a real complementarity between the two sides."

Globalization brings more than just economic and trade development, but also the multilevel exchanges between countries. The Chinese Business Club also plays such a role.

Chinese Business Club will hold its first meeting in Beijing in April.
More Chinese entrepreneurs will join the club at the meeting.

Parisot has planned to bring the successful model of Chinese Business Club to London, to further promote business exchanges between China and Europe.
