Local authorities have confirmed the deaths of three people, missing since a landslide knocked down a residential building, in China's Shaanxi Province on Monday.

On Wednesday, the emergency rescue headquarters in Baihe County confirmed that rescuers had retrieved three dead bodies and that rescue work has ended.

The bodies of two women and a boy were found just before dawn on Wednesday.

They join a woman and two children, a boy and a girl, found dead on Tuesday.

The building in the mountainous Maoping Township of Baihe County collapsed in the landslide on Monday. Rainstorms pounded the area over the weekend.

The seven-story building was home to 39 people from 11 families.

A 60-year-old woman, who was pulled out alive from the debris late on Monday, is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.
