Times square crash kills one

A car drove into a crowd in New York's Times Square on Thursday,leaving one person dead and 22 others injured.
The car ploughed into 23 pedestrians, killing an 18-year-old woman. 22 others were injured and taken to hospitals nearby.
"Gravel was flying everywhere.I got hit by a piece. The car landed sideways. I saw a gentleman underneath the car and another gentleman was pulling him out. It was a real mess."
The driver was identified by police as Richard Rojas, who has previous arrests, including two for drink driving.
Police said the driver is in custody and the incident is believed to be an isolated incident.
New York mayor Bill de Blasio told press there is no evidence showing it was a terrorist act.

The mayor said the cause of the incident is under investigation.
