Jinchang, in northwest China’s Gansu Province, is known as the city of nickel. Its nickel reserves are the largest in China, and the second largest in the world.

Even though it is located in the Gobi desert area and has an arid climate, Jinchang has transformed itself into a city of flowers. Lavender, verbena and marigold are blooming everywhere, making the city a spectacular sight.
