141 people missing in SW China landslide

A landslide occurred at around 6 am on Saturday smashed 46 homes, where 141 people are missing in Maoxian County in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

According to local authorities, the landslide from a high part of a mountain in Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Aba fell to Xinmo Village, blocking a 2-km section of a river course and 1.6-km section of Songdie Road.
   
Sichuan government has started I level emergency response. Several rescue teams equipped with crusher, excavator and life sensor have rushed to the disaster area.  Rescue is underway.
