Cambodia hosts Lancang-Mekong cooperation exhibition

The Lancang-Mekong Economic and Technological Exhibition has kicked off in Cambodia's capital Phnom Penh.
The exhibition is part of efforts by countries in the Lancang-Mekong group to boost regional trade and investment.
Some 130 enterprises in the Lancang-Mekong countries are taking part in the the four-day exhibition.
The Lancang-Mekong countries include China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
A Chinese embassy official in Cambodia says stronger ties among the Lancang-Mekong countries will bring benefits to local people.
Cambodia's Commerce Ministry Secretary of State says the fair is crucial for promoting economic and trade relations between group members.
The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation was initiated in 2014, with a focus on connectivity, cross-border economic cooperation, water resources, agriculture and poverty reduction.
