Chinese naval fleet visits Latvia

A Chinese naval fleet has arrived at the Freeport of Riga and kicked off a three-day visit to Latvia.
Around 200 Chinese people from all walks of life in Latvia, including Chinese Embassy staff, welcomed the naval fleet on Saturday morning.
Representatives of the Latvian National Armed Forces also attended the ceremony.
Yu Manjiang, commander of the Chinese naval fleet, said that fleet visit to Latvia was to strengthen and develop bilateral relations through exchanges between the naval forces of the two countries. 
The Chinese fleet includes three modern vessels currently in the service of the Chinese Navy. One of the ships will be open to the public during stay in Riga.
A friendly football match will also be organized between the naval forces of the two countries.
The Chinese fleet arrived in Riga after a friendly visit to Helsinki, Finland.
