18 killed, 18 missing in Vietnam's floods

Flash floods in Vietnam's four northern mountainous provinces in the last four days have killed 18 people, and left 18 others missing.
That's according to Vietnam's Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
The floods also injured 12 people, swept away 229 houses, and damaged 144 irrigation works and many national road sections, as well as hundreds of hectares of crops.
Property losses were estimated to be nearly 32 million U.S. dollars.
Natural disasters since the beginning of this year have killed 75 people in Vietnam.
