Official media from the DPRK say Kim Jong Un, the country's leader, has inspected a nuclear bomb institute.
The official Korean Central News Agency said Kim Jong Un inspected work for nuclear weaponization on site.
He was greeted by officials from the Department of Munitions Industry of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, as well as scientists from the Nuclear Weapons Institute.
Kim Jong Un was then briefed on the details of nuclear weaponization.
The report said the institute recently succeeded in making, quote, "a more developed nuke", adding that Kim watched an H-bomb being loaded into a new intercontinental ballistic missile or ICBM.
DPRK test fired two ICBMs, Hwasong 14, in July. The move led to a UN Security Council resolution last month imposing more sanctions on Pyongyang.
