The train service between the southwestern Chinese city of Nanning and the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi is playing a key role in strengthening ties between China and Vietnam.

The service started at the beginning of 2009 as part of the development of China-ASEAN free trade area.
 
It's now considered as a vital link between China and Vietnam.

We see us as a window of China, and our stewards can speak vietnamese as well as English.
 
The trip is 396km long. One journey takes 11 hours and goes through 8 stations.
 
Each train has 5 carriers and can transport 152 passengers in total.
 
The rail service has transported over 200,000 passengers since its launch in 2009.
