Tai Chi Chuan is a branch of Chinese martial arts which develops combat and self-defense skills as well as improve concentration. 

Since the 16th century, it's become a therapeutic exercise which is practiced for general health and fitness purposes.
Yang Luchan, an influential Tai Chi master in the late Qing Dynasty studied the shadow boxing for 18 years and finally learnt its essence.
He created the famous Yang-style Tai Chi, which won him the title of "invincible Yang."
