BOC issues centenary commemorative banknote

Bank of China Hong Kong Limited has announced a set of commemorative banknotes, celebrating a hundred years of its service to the city.
The banknotes will be available from Thursday until Oct. 18th, for Hong Kong citizens aged 18 or above.
Applications can be made online or in any Bank of China Hong Kong branches.
A bank official said net proceeds will go towards local community projects and charitable causes.
A total of 5 million commemorative 100 Hong Kong dollar banknotes will be issued. 
The front side of the Banknote features the Bank of China of Tower with the old Hong Kong Branch building and Head Office in Beijing on the side. 
While the reverse features an image of the first Hong Kong dollar banknote issued by BOC in 1994, depicting both sides of Victoria Harbour viewed from the Peak.
Over 3 million of the the notes will be available for purchase as part of a special set. From a single note priced at 228 Hong Kong dollars - up to a sheet of 30 uncut notes, priced at nearly 14,000 Hong Kong dollars.
