Chinese traditional music performed in Amman

Concert-goers in Amman, Jordan were treated to music performed by traditional Chinese instruments on Monday.
 
Lifestyles went along to hear more.
 
At the Talal Abu Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum, in the Jordanian capital of Amman, the audience enjoy 10 works including Beautiful Flowers and a Full Moon.
 
They're played by Liu Guangyu, famous for his exquisite skills in the ancient Chinese two-stringed bowed musical instrument known as "Erhu". 
 
Joining him are his colleagues on other traditional Chinese instruments such as pipa, cymbalo and flute.

"The music is very similar to our music, I was very pleased at this cultural musical meeting and we are very proud of our friendship and cooperation with China in the field of culture and education. Today in the form of music I feel the similarities between us, and I wish for a better future for China and the Arabic world."
 
The Chinese musicians also held a salon in downtown Amman two days before the concert, inviting musicians from Jordan, Syria and Iraq to enjoy eastern culture together.
