39th edition of France Wine Salon

The ongoing 39th edition of France Wine Salon gathers 970 French independent winegrowers and is estimated to attract 110,000 visitors to the Porte de Versailles exhibition center in Paris. 

This year's salon highlights the environmental value in wine production. 

DANIEL MOUTY, President of Salon des Vignerons Indépendants said "There is a big desire to produce healthier products. It means to use less unhealthy elements like the herbicide, the pesticide.So everything is part of a process, such as it is in bio, it has high environmental value. So that our export which can be at a time yield to the facility, it is necessary to manage the health of the export, So that our wines are more credible in terms of health and cleanliness." 
The salon is the biggest "Business to Consumer", or B to C market of wines produced by independent winegrowers who contribute to about 65 percent of the wine production in France. 
Having a slogan of "Authentic wines and personalities", the salon is also a shopping festival for wine lovers who want to meet and talk directly with wine makers. 
JEAN MICHEL, Consumer said "It's better because you can taste and talk with people and 
we can know more about the wines and know how the wine is made.I like it, I find it's very nice and friendly." 
Another consumer JEAN CHRISTOPHE said "I have come to this salon since 2010. I buy wines from wine makers, I have wine makers that I am familiar with. I know about ten winegrowers and I come to see them regularly." 
DANIEL MOUTY, President of Salon des Vignerons Indépendants pointed out that "We are pioneers in this field.The consumer can come to the winegrowers and listen to their story."  
For more than 40 years, independent winegrowers have been explorers and advocaters of the values of French vineyards. 
Today, they are more than 6000 members.
