United Nations has confirmed that the Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman will visit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) from Tuesday to Friday.

UN spokesman said on Monday that Feltman will meet with DPRK officials to discuss "issues of mutual interest and concern" .
"He will also meet with the United Nations Country Team and members of the diplomatic corps in Pyongyang, as well as visit UN project sites. While in the region, he will also visit China, in fact, he was in Beijing today when he met with a number of senior officials."
Shortly after the ballistic missile launch by the DPRK on November 29, Feltman called a meeting with the DPRK's Permanent Representative that Pyongyang must "desist from taking any further destabilizing steps."
