Afghan Chinese Documentary looks at Belt Road

The Afghan TV channel Kabul News, has started broadcasting a short documentary film on the stories of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The China-Afghan co-production looks at a number of people as they interact with different cultures.
The short film features a number of real life people, including: an aged Pashto-speaking Chinese professor; an Afghan teacher and students at the Kabul Confucius Institute; Afghan businessmen trying to do business in China; as well as staff at the Pashto service broadcasting center of China Radio International. 
During the launching ceremony on Tuesday, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Information and Culture Sayyeda Muzhgan Mustafawi said making and showing films like this helps introduce the rich Afghan culture to Chinese people and vice-versa. 
She added that the launch of the documentary comes with Afghanistan facing huge challenges for producing movie products.
The documentary is a co-production with China.
Zhang Zhixin, the Charge d'Affaires of Chinese embassy to Afghanistan praised the initiative, saying it would help improve cultural ties between the two countries.
