Israel approves 1100 new settlement homes

In Israel, the Defense Ministry has advanced plans to construct over 1,100 homes in the West Bank.
A total of 352 of the proposed homes gained final approval for construction, The rest of the 774 homes passed through an earlier planning stage known as a "deposit".
Tenders for 651 housing units were issued on Wednesday.
Approval for the new housing came one day after a Israeli was killed in a attack in the West Bank. 
Right-wing Israeli government ministers responded to the incident by calling for the building of more settlement housing and the legalizing of several West Bank outposts.
Israel's Defense Minister also announced the Civil Administration's Higher Planning Committee would meet to approve 2,500 other new housing units.
