Official: Tunisia open to Chinese investment

Tunisian Minister of State Domains and Land Affairs said that Tunisia is open to Chinese investment.
 
Mabrouk Korchid, Tunisian Minister of State Domains and Land Affairs, said China is an important partner for Tunisia.

"Tunisia is open to Chinese investment, especially China is an important partner for us in this area. Chinese people have built mega-projects benefiting all over the world, more precisely on our African continent."
 
The minister mentioned the project of Tunisia Diplomatic Academy will receive a Chinese funding of some 31 million U.S. dollars.
 
He noted that the project will further strengthen the partnership between Tunisia and China.
 
According to Mabrouk, the southeast and southwest areas in Tunisia are the priority areas for regional development and foreign investment.
