Russian authorities have released information about causes behind the crash of a Russian airplane that left 71 passengers dead.
The authorities said the crash could have been caused by the interference caused by ice.
Russia's Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) released the findings on Tuesday, after decoding data from the plane's onboard recorders.
IAC said in a statement that the crash could have been caused by the icing of its avionics.
It said heating for certain instruments connected to indicators were switched off, adding the reasons for the change required additional investigation.
The Antonov-148, a Saratov Airlines flight, was carrying 65 passengers and a crew of six from Moscow to Orsk when it crashed on Sunday.
