Move over Sam, the Jazzablanca music festival is back to play it again.
 
The nine-day musical extravaganza kicked off on Saturday. 44 concerts are being staged this year - mixing recognized figures, established bands and new faces.
 
Though it started as just a jazz festival, it has since grown to take in all kinds of music. Attracting tens of thousands of fans from around the world.

"This is a jazz festival here in Casablanca, which has evolved since 13 years to become a current Music Festival. It is the shows open to  everyone, we present musical groups from around the world who play jazz , punk or rock and we have a city public from all districts of Casablanca. "
 
The festival also looks to give back to the city. Promoting local artists, staging workshops, and with free exhibitions.
 
Labels are also here, hoping to spot the next "big thing" - but also just to enjoy the show.
