Tokyo Disneyland marked its 35th anniversary on Sunday.
To celebrate, the park kicked off a series of parades and events called "Happiest Celebration" that will last for nearly a year.
The park says it will be expanding its scale and add new attractions including a new version of Soarin' in 2019 and a Beauty and the Beast Area in 2020.
Since its opening in 1983, Tokyo Disneyland had grown from a single theme park into a resort with a Sea Park and four Disney franchised hotels.
The number of annual visitors hit a record 31.4 million in 2014.
