Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad not to respond to Israel's large-scale air attack on Syria.
In a video statement on Thursday , Netanyahu said he had conveyed a clear message to the Assad regime, saying Israel's activity is directed against Iranian targets in Syria.
Netanyahu said if the Syrian army takes action against them, Israel will act against it.
“I repeat: Anyone who harms us - we will hurt him even more, and whoever is prepared to harm us - we will act to harm him earlier. This is what we did and will continue to do.”
Reiterating a demand voiced by Israel in the past months, Netanyahu urged the international community "to prevent Iran's al-Quds Force from entrenching itself in Syria."
