In the U.S., SpaceX's latest version of Falcon 9 rocket known as "Block 5" has been launched.
The rocket, which took off in Florida, carried Bangladesh's first communications satellite into orbit.
The latest SpaceX's Falcon 9 launch vehicle, the "Block 5" booster, was launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center on Friday.
The vehicle had undergone numerous design changes to improve its reusability and reliability. The improvements are said to make it easier for engineers to prepare it for more flights.
It is designed to be capable of 10 or more flights with very limited overhaul.
The new rocket has improved  helium tanks stored in liquid oxygen propellant tanks which are part of its second stage.
The rocket's first stage was successfully recovered some 8 minutes after the launch.
Bangabandhu Satellite-1 is Bangladesh's first geostationary communications satellite. It is expected to serve an area covering Bangladesh and the surrounding region.
