The new leadership of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) has said the forum would firmly support globalization to help achieve mutual development in Asia and beyond.

Newly-elected BFA chairman Ban Ki-moon on Monday said the BFA would work to realize the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity.
Echoing Ban's remarks, BFA vice chair Zhou Xiaochuan attributed the historic development and transformation in China and Asia to "economic reform and opening up."
2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up. The country is now pushing for more integration into the world economy, with measures to give foreign investors easier market access and ensure a level playing field.
Zhou, China's chief representative to BFA, said he believed the China's experience was important for both Asia and the world, saying the BFA would continue to promote an open and innovative Asia for greater global prosperity.
Founded in 2001, the BFA is an international organization committed to regional economic integration and helping Asian countries come closer to their development goals.
