CHINA-CEEC meeting in sofia business forum to boost ties, investments

 Almost a thousand business representatives gathered in Sofia on Saturday at the 7th annual leaders' meeting of China and Central and Eastern European Countries.

The forum is aimed at boosting business ties and investments.

During the meeting, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said China will stick to the path of opening its markets. Other 16 leaders also support the idea of no barriers in trade.
Some of the participants came in search for business opportunities such as Mr. Georgi Belichev whose family produces Bulgarian rose oil.

Both leaders and business representatives said the format 16+1 produced important results and promoted the economic development of the region since its launch in 2012.

"I think this format is very successful one. It is not just single talking. It is continuous talking and build the partnership between China and 16 countries of Europe. I am coming from Romania, the country that has very good cooperation with Chinese government and Chinese companies and I definitively expect soon very big projects to happen."

"Having resources to fund projects which unite us physically, building infrastructure that is lacking in the region is prerequisite. It is a platform to do business so I think it is very positive event."
The theme of this year's meeting is deepening open and practical cooperation, and jointly promoting and sharing prosperous development.
