Chinese games market sees steady growth

The Chinese gaming industry has seen impressive business growth in domestic markets in the first half of the year.
 
According to a recent report on China's gaming industry, sales revenue in the Chinese games market reached 105 billion yuan, or about 15.4 billion U.S. dollars in H1, up 5.2 percent year on year.
 
China is one of the world's largest games market and had 530 million gamers during the period, an increase of 4 percent year on year.
 
Chinese online-game makers saw robust growth in domestic markets with sales revenue exceeding 79.8 billion yuan or around 11.7 billion U.S. dollars during the period.
 
Sales in overseas markets also rose as more and more domestic game companies begin to woo international players.
