Coal mine explosion in NW Pakistan

 Nine miners have been killed and two others have been trapped in a coal mine explosion in northwest Pakistan.

The incident happened in the Akhrowal area of Kohat, a district in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday.
According to local reports, part of the coal mine collapsed following an explosion triggered by accumulated methane gas.
Police said 11 workers were working in the mine when the incident occurred, adding that rescue workers have recovered the bodies of nine miners, with efforts underway to save the other two trapped inside.
It's the second fatal coal mining accident in Pakistan in a month.
