"Tunisia could also attract Chinese investment for several reasons, including its geographical location between the two continents Africa and Europe."

Mizouni added that Chinese consumers are highly interested in healthy products, and Tunisian companies will make special efforts to promote Tunisian agro-products.

She added that during the expo, Tunisia will be officially represented by three companies in two fields: namely olive oil and handicrafts.

15 other Tunisian companies, covering various fields such as plastics, packaging and electronics, will also present at the expo as visitors.

Mizouni also pointed out that the CIIE will facilitate the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and promote economic cooperation between China and its partners.
