China’s first-ever import expo is only a month away.
The host city, Shanghai, has already started finalizing preparations as products from all over the world begin to arrive in one of the world's biggest consumer markets.
The China International Import Expo is expected to support trade liberalization and economic globalization, and further open the Chinese market to the world.
A total of 2,800 companies from all G20 member states, as well as 50 countries and regions along the Belt and Road will participate in the expo.
Products from more than 1,500 foreign exhibitors have already arrived in Shanghai, with another 1,000 products still on the way.
Exhibitors say the event has great potential for boosting imports.
"In general, it is a wonderful opportunity for German companies to celebrate their successes in China already. So lots of companies that are established in China will showcase their talent and their products. But it is also a wonderful opportunity for new German companies, which have so far not really discovered China's potential as a new destination for their products and ideas."

"This exhibition will also consolidate China's relations with its partners and member countries of this initiative, who will have the opportunity to export their products to the Chinese market."
According to statistics from the organizers, more than 100 new products and technologies are expected to make debut at the expo.
The China International Import Expo will kick off on November 5.
