First London-Shenzhen Direct Flight Launched

Shenzhen Airlines has launched the world's first direct flight between the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen and the British capital London.

According to Shenzhen Airlines, this intercontinental route will be served by its Airbus 330 aircraft and operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

"The Shenzhen-London?route, the first long haul intercontinental route we've launched, is a crucial starting point for Shenzhen Airlines to step out into the world. This airline will blossom into an internationalized airline based in Shenzhen, with its route network covering Asia and the rest of the world."
 
Zhu Qin, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, said that the flight route will bring real benefits to both Chinese and British people.

Shenzhen Airlines was founded in November 1992.
 
By the end of 2017, it has operated about 200 domestic and international routes.
