2018 New York City Marathon

 The 2018 New York City Marathon saw tens of thousands of runners take part on Sunday...including runners who had traveled across the world to participate.

At the competition, Kenya's Mary Keitany and Ethiopia's Lelisa Desisa turned in stunning performances, to win the women's and men's titles respectively.
The New York City Marathon is an annual event which courses through the five boroughs of New York City, starting on Staten Island, and going through Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and finishing in Manhattan.
This year 224 Chinese participants flew across the globe to take part in the competition.
The race was founded in 1970 and has been organized every year ever since.
