Businessman:CIIE rebeals huge market potentials

 An Israeli businessman says huge market potentials of China’s medical and health care sector has been seen in the large-scale and significant China International Import Expo (CIIE).

Yacov Geva, president & CEO of Israeli G. Medical Innovations Ltd, just came back from Shanghai after the six-day CIIE concluded on Nov. 10.

"It was fantastic just fantastic! The atmosphere unbelievable. The organization was top level organization. The security was so tough. So many people are coming to such an event but it was organized perfect, perfect."
Geva has set up a joint venture in South China’s Guangzhou city. His company focuses on developing and marketing clinical and consumer mobile health monitoring solutions.
Geva told CNC that lots of Chinese companies showed interest in his medical products and wanted to do business with him.

"The reaction was so good so positive. I can say that being very conservative we had like 200 leads of interested companies that wants (want)to do business. We had hundreds and hundreds of people flowing to our booth. We were located very well. And we are already ordering for next year in November in Shanghai again."
Deals for intended one-year purchases of goods and services worth a total of 57.83 billion U.S. dollars were reached at the first CIIE, including 5.76 billion dollars of medical equipment and health care products.
Many overseas investors believe China is the biggest market in the world and the Chinese health care market is also huge due to its massive aging population and the wish to have a better health care system.

"I believe in Chinese market. I didn't have any hesitation having a booth in the expo in China. It was clear to me that there will be a lot of people."
He was also inspired by the positive message given by the Chinese government that China opens its doors for more and more foreign companies to come in and is expecting China will play increasingly important role in pushing forward the development of global economy.

"The world is a small village so we want to produce for China and we want to produce in China for the other countries for other regions in the world."
A total of 172 countries, regions and international organizations, and more than 3,600 enterprises participated in the six-day CIIE. 
The expo attracted more than 400,000 domestic and overseas purchasers.
