Latest data showed that German exports hit record high in 2018, but the pace of growth has slowed significantly.

According to the German Federal Statistical Office, exports rose by 3 percent to an all-time record of nearly 1.32 trillion euros in 2018.
In 2017, exports had risen by 6.2 percent.
Analysts noted that the rising economic uncertainty, such as trade disputes and the Brexit, is making life difficult for the export-oriented German economy.
In December, Germany exported goods worth 96.1 billion euros, a decline of 4.5 percent year-on-year.
The majority of exported goods went to other member states of the European Union.
Imports of goods to Germany grew faster and went up by 5.7 percent to 1.09 trillion euros last year.
