A Chinese orchestra celebrated the Lunar New Year with a performance at the UN General Assembly hall in New York.

The performance by the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra marked the first time that a concert celebrating China's most important holiday was held at the UN headquarters.
The concert included a medley of Chinese and Western, traditional and modern songs, including the well-known Chinese folk song "Jasmine Flower" as well as classics performed by world-renowned musicians.
The concert was so well received that the orchestra gave three encores in response to the audience's long applause.
Founded in 2016, the young orchestra from China's eastern city of Suzhou has performed in many countries including France, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan.
